Villa
Melzi
The
Villa was built by Francesco Melzi d'Eril, Vice-President of the
Italian Republic founded by Napoleon.
He entrusted the the design of the villa to a famous architect,
Giocondo Albertolli who supervised the construction (1808-1810).
Many illustrious guests have stayed at the villa, including Franz
Lizst and Stendhal. The villa, still private property, is a
national monument. |
